Booking a car on Ridee

Learn how to book your first car on Ridee with this comprehensive guide.

Account Requirements

To book a car on Ridee, you'll need a verified Ridee account. You can sign up using your email address, Google account, or Apple ID, or simply complete your signup when making your first booking.

During Account Setup

We'll ask for:

• Your driver's license number and expiry date
• Your home address
• A mobile phone number (SMS-enabled)
• A valid payment card

Note: You won't be charged until your trip booking is confirmed.

Age Requirements

• You must be 18 years or older to rent or drive a car through Ridee
• Your age is verified at the time of booking and determines the type of cars or protection plans you may be eligible for

Driver's License Requirements

To ensure safety and compliance, all renters must have a valid and active driver's license. Ridee may automatically verify your license details when you make your first booking.

Accepted Licenses

Permanent driver's license: A permanent driver's license that grants full driving privileges in your country of residence.

Temporary licenses: Temporary licenses are accepted if they are valid for the full duration of the trip and must meet one of the following conditions:

• Temporary license with a photo; OR
• Temporary license without a photo but accompanied by another valid government-issued photo ID

In both cases, the name and date of birth must match on both documents.

Account Verification

For security purposes, Ridee may request additional information, photos or conduct facial recognition to verify your identity.

In some cases, Ridee may also check your driving record, insurance history or criminal background before allowing you to book a car.

By creating an account, you give Ridee permission to verify this information as applicable by law.

Important: Ridee reserves the right to decline or cancel bookings or suspend accounts that don't meet our verification standards or community guidelines.

How to Book Your First Car

Step 1: Sign Up or Log In

Create your Ridee account or log in if you already have one. Complete the verification process as described above.

Step 2: Browse Available Cars

Use the search filters to find cars available for your desired dates, location, and vehicle type preferences.

Step 3: Select Your Car

Click on a car listing to view details including photos, pricing, host information, and customer reviews.

Step 4: Review Booking Details

Confirm your pickup and return dates, times, and location before proceeding to payment.

Step 5: Complete Payment

Add your payment method and complete the booking. You'll receive a confirmation email with all the details.

Step 6: Contact Your Host

Once booked, you can message your host to coordinate pickup and discuss any special arrangements.
